With more than a decade of entrepreneurial experience, Andre has built a dynamic career rooted in community impact. His journey includes owning a rum bar in Brooklyn, investing in Black-owned businesses, and developing educational initiatives. In 2013, he founded Katmint Learning, a preschool and enrichment program dedicated to early childhood development. In 2018, he launched The Aster Initiative, partnering with public schools to deliver high-impact enrichment programs and essential childcare services to over 500 families. Deeply committed to Central Brooklyn, Andre’s mission is to uplift underserved communities by expanding access to education and economic opportunity—ensuring that long-time residents thrive amid the challenges of gentrification.
